What strikes at first glance is the structure of king which makes it similar to the CHI119 model because of the presence of the special irregular cross on its top. The knight piece is very solid and perfectly carved. Very caracteristic is bishop’s notch which is placed vertically not obliquely which is the most common solution in other chessmen models. The black pieces are made of padauk (Pterocarpus sandalinus) thanks to which their appearence is absolutely fascinating.
