The set includes 34 chess pieces, 16 light and 16 dark, plus additional hetmans: 1 light and 1 dark.
The French chess figures are a simple yet elegant variation of the popular Staunton chess figures. The figures have been handmade by Indian craftsmen and their appearance, especially the beautiful polished surface, is reminiscent of much more expensive models of chess figures.
The wood used to create the French figures is hard boxwood with a beautiful natural colour and Indian acacia. The French figures are solidly weighted and lined with green felt.
They can be stored in cotton bags or wooden trunks of our production (size 6 will be best). For French 3.5 figures, boards with fields of 45-50 mm are best.
